My husband took a piece of wood and adhered it with liquid nails for stone and then screwed the brackets into the wood.

To attach the plywood to the frame of the cabinets with screws first drill a pilot hole to keep from splitting the hardwood face frame.
I m guessing drilling into the granite is not an option.
